Charitable Giving

Our charitable giving is a reflection of our commitment to serving the public good in the areas of science, education and sustainability through grants, scholarships, matching employee gifts and in-kind contributions. The program focuses on:

  • Sustaining important research that is centered around alleviating and eliminating serious human diseases;
  • Increasing health care accessibility;
  • Strengthening curriculum concentrated on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at the elementary and high school levels;
  • Raising availability for higher education via scholarship programs; and
  • Building upon activities that bolster long-term environmental conservation.

Grants & In-Kind Donations

We have provided grants to a variety of recognized organizations, such as the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Scholarship America and charity:water, as well as local nonprofits, including Read to a Child, Vince Wilfork Foundation/Joslin Diabetes Center, Citizens Scholarship Foundation, Mattapan Community Health Center and Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation (MassBioEd).

In addition, we provide in-kind donations to organizations that are in need of equipment. For example, in 2013, we provided both product and monetary donations to assist those severely affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. In partnership with Water Missions International, we donated products from our EZ-Fit™ Manifold line to filter contaminated drinking water. In addition to the product donation, we also provided a $10,000 grant to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in and around Cebu.

Similarly, in 2011, we donated more than 10,000 free state-of-the-art test kits for water analysis in the flood-prone areas of Thailand. The test kits helped to ensure the safety of municipal drinking water following months of devastating flooding in that region.
