      Background InformationNET50 is a novel member of the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family, a group of proteins comprised of oxidoreductases involved in the metabolism of prostaglandins, retinoids, and steroids. NET50 was identified in liver proteomics and is considered optimal for nuclear rim staining as RFP or HA fusions. The function of NET50 is as of yet undefined.
