Test Strips, MQuant™
MQuant™ test strips by Merck Millipore are true high-tech products – mobile laboratories on just a few square millimeters of backing, that can easily be used anywhere. MQuant™ test strips are suitable for the semiquantitative detection of ions, organic substances and inorganic substances.
They measure concentrations from as low as 1 or 10 mg/l right up to the g/l range.
The reaction zones are wetted by simple dipping into the solution being tested. The excess liquid is then shaken off. After the given reaction time has elapsed – a maximum of two minutes – the coloring of the reaction zone is compared with the color scale on the package to determine the concentration.
The standard pack contains 100 test strips in an aluminum tube fitted with a desiccant-filled stopper. User information is provided in 4 languages. We also offer this product in packaging specific to the application and customer requirements – see tab below. Strips that are individually sealed to improve their shelf life are available on request.
To assure the constantly high quality of MQuant™ test strips Merck Millipore uses certified standard solutions to adjust and check the tests and the faithfulness of the reference colors. These standard solutions are directly traceable to primary reference standards from NIST and PTB.

MQuant™ peroxidase test makes process control during milk pasteurization easier – without incurring high costs.
The product quality of milk depends heavily on successful pasteurization. Lactoperoxidase is an enzyme present in raw milk and it can only be denatured to peroxidase through ultra-high temperature processing (UHT), and not through simple pasteurization. For this reason, the European Union Regulation (91/180/EC) requires that peroxidase be detected in pasteurized milk as proof that the product has undergone gentle heat treatment.
With the qualitative MQuant™ peroxidase test for the dairy industry, the enzyme can now be detected easily, fast and cost-effectively by using test strips. Quantitative testing is no longer required.
