Eshmuno® HCX is a high salt-tolerant, multimodal chromatography resin designed for fast and efficient direct capture of proteins. Eshmuno® HCX resin offers outstanding performance results in typical ion exchange and flow-through applications at higher salt levels.

Eshmuno® HCX resin couples the renowned tentacle structure of Eshmuno® with an innovative hydrophilic polyvinyl ether base matrix. This allows for a multipoint interaction between biopharmaceutical and resin, resulting in higher binding capacities. Its robust base bead allows for high flow rates, enabling faster processing in biopharmaceutical operations. The spherical regular shape of the 85 µm beads and its appropriate particle size distribution supports easy packing and scale-up.

Static and dynamic testing methods demonstrate the wide range of operating conditions of Eshmuno® HCX resin achieving high protein binding capacities at high salt levels. Its open interconnected pore structure maintains rapid mass transfer, resulting in higher achievable dynamic capacities over a wide range of process conditions.
