General description
Amyloid Beta 1-40 (Aβ40) and Amyloid Beta 1-42 (Aβ42) are critical biomarkers for Alzheimer′s disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative disorders marked by cognitive decline. Aβ42 is especially relevant as it forms neurotoxic aggregates that disrupt neuronal function, with reduced levels in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) linked to disease progression. Mouse models of AD are essential for studying these biomarkers, as they provide insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets, enhancing our understanding of AD pathology and potential intervention strategies.
Application
MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 2 analytes in mouse serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF),and cell culture supernatants.
Analytes included: Amyloid beta 1-40 (Aβ40), Amyloid beta 1-42 (Aβ42).
Note: RANTES cannot be plexed with other cytokines in this panel due to a required 1:100 dilution of plasma/serum samples. This premixed panel comes with a RANTES bead, so please plan your samples accordingly.
Assay Characteristics: Refer to kit protocol for assay cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.
