      DescriptionAnti-TDRD1 Antibody
      Alternate Names
      • Tudor domain-containing protein 1
      • Cancer/testis antigen 41.1
      • CT41.1
Background InformationTudor domain-containing protein 1 (TDRD1) is found exclusively in the testis and ovary. It contains an N-terminal myeloid-nervy-DEAF-1 (MYND) domain and four tudor domains. The tudor domains interact with symmetrical dimethyl arginines in piwi proteins such as MILI. The interaction of TDRD1 with MILI in murine germ cells facilitate the binding of MILI to piRNA molecules, and this may promote the silencing of transposons in germ cells involved in gametogenesis.
