We all appreciate a bit of warmth. But there are limits to everything. Human specimen, for example, is very temperature sensitive. Excess heating during histoprocessing can easily damage the sample. Part of the problem is that the specimen is placed in a bath made of paraffin, which traditionally has a melting range between 38 and 70 ºC. To avoid possible damage, we have developed Histosec®. With a melting range of 56 - 58 ºC, this premium paraffin ensures unproblematic processing of any specimen, irrespective of the method used. That’s what we call cool!
