Microbiological contamination in process liquids such as coolants and coating baths can lead to operational problems. These include reduced life-time of the liquids as well as impaired quality of the final product.
HY-LiTE® Plus for contamination monitoring is developed specifically for testing matrices like metal working fluids, paints and coatings, activated sludge in waste water treatment and similar liquids and slurries.
Rapid detection of microbiological contamination
While most traditional methods take days to get results, and are difficult to interpret, the new HY-LiTE® Plus test can get you an indication of the total microbiological activity in only 2 minutes.
Comprehensive and easy-to-use
HY-LiTE® Plus detects the metabolic activity of bacteria, yeast and moulds, including anaerobe micro-organisms and highly adapted micro-organisms. Both kinds of micro-organisms are not always detected by traditional growth-based methods.
The test can be done without access to laboratory facilities or specially trained laboratory personal and therefore is most convenient to work with.
HY-LiTE® Plus based on ATP test method
Microbiological contamination is detected through Adenosine-tri-phosphate that is found in every living creature. ATP is tracked specifically by reaction with a Luciferin/Luciferase mixture in buffered solution. The amount of light emitted is then measured and displayed by the HY-LiTE® 2 luminometer indicating the level of microbiological contamination present.
