pH Tests
"Why can't my university tests be as easy as pH tests from Merck Millipore?"
Cho Li X., undergraduate
Research or industry? Cho isn't sure which to choose when she graduates. Either way, she's sure to find our pH test strips and papers waiting on the desk - just as she did at college. Even after forty years, there's no better way to determine pH values easily and quickly.
PH plays a highly important role in biochemistry, chemistry and technology since it affects numerous chemical processes. The results of many analytical methods are influenced by the pH of the solvent or buffer. The measurement can be made with a pH meter or with rapid tests, such as pH indicator paper or strips and pH indicator solutions (pH indicator mixtures). The great advantage of Merck Millipore’s rapid tests is that this method of determination can be used directly on the spot without requiring any additional aids or sample preparation. The result is available immediately! The high accuracy of the results enables you to take any necessary countermeasures immediately, no matter whether in environmental analysis or the industrial sector as part of in-process controls.
Analyses within seconds!
The Advantages of pH Tests by Merck Millipore:

pH Indicator Papers – The Classic Solution!
pH indicator papers supplied in rolls are better suited for long-term storage, since they are protected against external influences such as moisture, light, and acid and alkaline gases.
pH indicator papers are manufactured by impregnating high-quality filter paper with indicator or mixed-indicator solutions. Therefore, the paper is dried, cut and packed into the corresponding sizes.
MColorpHast™ pH Indicator Strips – All-Around Versatility

pH Indicator strips contain special indicator dyes that are covalently bound to the cellulose of the reagent paper.

pH Indicator Solutions – For Special Applications
When liquid pH indicators are used, the test solution should be colorless and clear, whenever possible. In the event the sample has any slight intrinsic color, test kits including a sliding comparator can be used to compensate for this intrinsic color. In many cases, strongly turbid and/or colored solutions can be made colorless and clear for measurement by filtration or treatment with activated charcoal.
Measuring the pH with Merck Millipore liquid indicators offers the following advantages:
