How to use
- Search function
Merck's search facility is another easy way to find any item you are interested in. We have greatly improved the search function in our portal website to enable you to find information quicker and easier.
Performing a search
Via the search box located prominently on the top of each screen, you can find products, documents and information simply by entering the respective keyword of your choice.
To help you getting perfect results, our search function offers you possible choices in the drop-down field that automatically appears once you have started entering your keyword (minimum 4 letters). In case your desired keyword is displayed in the drop-down field below you can choose it simply by clicking on it.
Please note that only products will appear in the suggested search box.
Once you chose a keyword or pressed the button next to the search field, your search will be executed and you will be directed to the search result page.
You will be presented the search results in the category "products" by default.
To search in other categories simply choose the category of interest to gather further information. The respective hits per category will be displayed next to the category name.

Save your most frequently used products and categories as favorites for instant access every time you log in. You must register in order to use this added value.
On your favorites page – click on the star symbol – you will find all saved favorites clustered in categories, products and search results. Use the local navigation to jump directly to each sector.
