Most effective excipients for lubrication

Parteck® LUB products are vegetable grades of Magnesium stearate, Calcium stearate and Stearic acid, the most effective excipients for lubrication during tablet manufacture. For Parteck® LUB MST and Parteck® LUB CST, Merck specifies both the particle size and Specific Surface Area (BET), which is vital for the stable formation of the lubricating film. The result? Constant tabletting behaviour, the optimal filling of tablet presses, plus stable results in tablet disintegration and the bioavailability of the active ingredient.

Every batch consistent

Another benefit of the validated production process is excellent batch-to-batch consistency. Working with Magnesium stearate, particularly, requires minimal variations in particle size and surface area. The reliable properties of Parteck® LUB stearates make production processes dependable and largely interference-free.

What’s more, all Parteck® LUB products are made from raw vegetable materials, limiting regulatory efforts. While, uniquely, all specifications meet the requirements of the major pharmacopeia, namely European (Ph Eur), Japanese (JP), American (USP) and National Formulary (NF). Merck’s excipients are also part of the EMPROVE® range, which provides support and documentation for increased product safety and faster approvals.
