Detects and quantifies the level of ATF2 (activating transcription factor 2) protein that is phosphorylated at Thr69/71. ATF2 is a member of the cAMP response element-binding protein family of basic region-leucine zipper proteins, which is implicated in growth control, cell cycle progression, differentiation, and transformation. ATF2 is a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes containing a cAMP-response element. Although this kit is designed for human cell lines, platelets, and lymphocytes, it cross-reacts with mouse and rat cells.

 The sensitivity of this ELISA was compared to immunoblotting using known quantities of ATF2 (pThr<sup>69/71</sup>). The data presented in Figure 1 show that the sensitivity of the ELISA is ~8x greater than that of immunoblotting. The bands shown in the immunoblotting data were developed using an anti ATF2 (pThr<sup>69/71</sup>) antibody and chemiluminescent detection. |
