Amino thiols attached to 4-methoxytrityl resin
These acid-labile resins are ideal for the preparation of N-acyl or N-alkyl aminoalkylthiols. The free amino functionality of the resin bound aminothiol can be readily acylated using standard methods of amide bond formation, or reductively alkylated. Cleavage can be effected with 1% TFA in DCM containing 5% triethylsilane. Disulfides can also be generated using electrophilic oxidants such as I2 or Tl3+.
