Anticoagulant. Inhibits the IP3-activated Ca2+ channel release of the endoplasmic reticulum. Reported to activate the ryanodine receptor. Totally prevents adenophostin-induced release of Ca2+ from cerebellar and intracellular stores. Note: 1 KU = 1000 units.
