The His•Tag® Antibody HRP Conjugate Kit contains a horseradish peroxidase-conjugated His•Tag Monoclonal Antibody that is useful as a single detection reagent, thus eliminating cross-reactivity associated with secondary antibody reagents. It recognizes five consecutive histidine residues regardless of the surrounding amino acid context. The purified antibody conjugate produces a strong signal at a 1:1000-1:2000 dilution on Western blots and dot blots. The His•Tag Antibody HRP Conjugate also detects the recombinant marker bands in the Novagen Perfect Protein™ Western Markers for convenient visualization of accurate internal standards on Western blots.

Using standard HRP detection methods, as little as 1 ng protein can be detected on dot blots. Cross-reactivity to bacterial, insect, yeast or mammalian cell proteins is negligible. The package size provides enough conjugate for 25-50 blots and includes 5% Alkali-soluble Casein for the blocking reagent.
