A sensitive and selective assay for the measurement of human neutrophil elastase (HNE), a serine protease with the ability to solubilize fibrous elastin. Anti-HNE is immobilized onto a 96-well plate; activity is measured with a fluorogenic substrate (Ex: 360-380 nm; Em.: 440-460 nm).
