Origami™ B 5615 is a new T7Select® Phage Display System host strain closely related to the Origami host strain used for recombinant protein expression. Origami host strains are K-12 derivatives that have mutations in both the thioredoxin reductase (trxB) and glutathione reductase (gor) genes, which together greatly enhance disulfide bond formation in the cytoplasm. This new strain carries an ampicillin-resistant, medium–copy number plasmid, pAR5615, that expresses the native T7 capsid protein under the control of the lacUV5 promoter.
