Recombinant, human Rac1 fused to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in E. coli. A small GTPase that belongs to the Ras superfamily and regulates lamellipodia formation in response to growth factor stimulation, as well as activation of NADPH-oxidase in phagocytic lymphocytes. Useful as a positive control in Western analysis and as an affinity precipitation reagent using Ni2+-charged metal chelate resin.
