In addition to several corrections, the new application offers several improvements and new features, e. g.:

Among the detailed information for every element, the new rubric “Products for analytical testing” has been created showing thematically relevant Merck products. Clicking on a product in the list directly leads to the product details on www.merck-chemicals.com. Also, numerous new terms have been added to the glossary.
Merck is a partner for school and university students
Merck’s innovative information tools are tailored to meet the interests of the new chemist generation. Only one year after the start of the first version, the periodic table already proves very popular. This is confirmed not only by many excited users but also by the expert jury of the “Annual Multimedia” contest who recently selected Merck’s interactive periodic table for their “Annual Multimedia 2008” yearbook. Every year the contest chooses the most outstanding digital productions to reveal trend-setting multimedia applications, concepts and developments.
