General description

A cell-permeable and potent inducer of VEGF and VEGF-mediated blood vessel formation. GS4012-induced upregulation of VEGF correlates with its ability to suppress the gridlock/coarctation phenotype (7.5 µg/ml) in Zebrafish and to stimulate tubule network formation (5 µg/ml) in HUVECs. An essential molecule required during angioblasts cell fate determination.
