      AperçuWarthin-Starry silver plating kit modified - for the detection of Helicobacter pylori and Spirochetes in paraffin sections, is used to specifically detect the bacterium Helicobacter pylori in histological specimens of human origin. The bacteria are found in the mucus of the surface epithelium, in the apical gastric glands and in the veolae of the gastric mucosa. They appear dark brown to black in the microscopic image, whereas surrounding cells are stained yellow and the nuclei brown. The kit contains four reagents: 6% Silver nitrate solution, Hydroquinone mixture, Gelatine powder and 1.2% Acetic acid solution, which are ready-to-use. To prevent fading, the staining preparations need to be cover-slipped with DPX new(Cat. no. 100579) or Neo-Mount®(Cat. no. 109016); an alternative xylene-containing covering agent (Xylene (isometric, Cat. no.108298) can be used if an additional silver-fixing step with sodium thiosulfate is included previous covering.
      The kit is sufficient for up to 500 preparations. This product is registered as IVD and CE marked. For more details, please see instructions for use (IFU). The IFU can be downloaded from this webpage.

      P304 + P340 + P310: EN CAS D’INHALATION: transporter la personne à l’extérieur et la maintenir dans une position où elle peut confortablement respirer. Appeler immédiatement un CENTRE ANTIPOISON/un médecin.
      P305 + P351 + P338: EN CAS DE CONTACT AVEC LES YEUX: Rincer avec précaution à l'eau pendant plusieurs minutes. Enlever les lentilles de contact si la victime en porte et si elles peuvent être facilement enlevées. Continuer à rincer.
