      OverviewAn exocyclic peptidomimetic that acts as a TNF-α antagonist (IC50 = 5 µM) in the binding assay. Blocks TNF-α-mediated apoptosis in mouse L929 cells. The designation WP9QY arises from the binding to the site observed in the TNF-β/TNF-receptor (I) complex as template, and the introduction of amino acids Glu and Tyr.

Designation WP9QY arises from the binding to the WP9 binding site of the TNF-β/TNF-receptor(I) complex as template, and the introduction of amino acids, Gln and Tyr.
