Purospher® RP-18 HPLC Columns |
Request Information |
Purospher® RP-18 HPLC columns are designed for peak-tailing-free separations of strongly basic compounds with simple, neutral mobile phases. Thus, they accelerate method development while reducing analysis costs. The columns also allow the separation of hydrophilic compounds using up to 100% aqueous eluents.
Based on high-purity, metal-free silica, Purospher® RP-18 columns undergo a multistep chemical modification and deactivation of the surface (achieved by polymeric coating and amino shielding) to eliminate unpredictable interactions from residual silanols. This results in symmetrical peak shapes for basic and chelating analytes – without the addition of any modifiers to the mobile phase. Furthermore, the columns’ excellent chemical stability allows the use of mobile phase conditions at pH 8 for a considerably long time – without loss of performance. Due to the amino shielding step, Purospher® RP-18 HPLC columns are not suitable for the separation of acidic compounds.
