Ascorbic Acid in Red Colored JuicesThe Reflectoquant® system combined with test strips for ascorbic acid allows for a fast and precise determination of the concentration of ascorbic acid in beverages and food. However, reflectometric measurements demand clear, colorless samples. Beverages, such as red juices, do not fulfill these requirements and must thus undergo a pretreatment in the form of dilution and decoloration. We have depicted this simple procedure and the determination with Reflectoquant® test strips and RQlex reflectometer in the following video.
For further information on the decoloring procedure and other pretreatments, please also refer to our webcast. No matter which parameter you want to measure, our analytical application finder helps to find applications that are tailored to your needs.
