Gene Information

human ... CASP9(842)

General description

Caspase-9 is an important member of the caspase family. When cytochrome c is released from the mitochondria early upon apoptosis induction, it associates with Apaf-1 and procaspase-9 and forms an apoptosome. This complex cleaves procaspase-9 into a large 37kDa subunit and a small 10kDa subunit.

Immunogen

Epitope: active (cleaved) form
Synthetic peptide. FQEGLRTFDQLD

Application

Anti-Caspase 9 Antibody, active (cleaved) form detects level of Caspase 9 & has been published & validated for use in IP, WB & IC.
