General description
41.65 kDa calculated
LPH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the signal and propeptide of human Pro-Biglycan.
Specificity
This antiserum recognizes only the biglycan preproprotein (368aa) and probiglycan (349aa), but not the mature biglycan (331aa) lacking the N-terminal signal and propeptide sequence. This polyclonal antiserum is also known by LF-104.
Application
Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected Pro-Biglycan in BMP1 treated recombinant protein (von Marschall, Z., and Fisher, L.W. (2010). Biochem. Biophys. Res. Commun. 391(13):1374-1378).
Physical form
Rabbit polyclonal antibody serum with 0.05% sodium azide.
Preparation Note
Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.
Analysis Note
Evaluated by Immunohistochemistry in human and mouse skin tissue.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution of this antibody detected Pro-Biglycan in human and mouse skin tissue.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution of this antibody detected Pro-Biglycan in human and mouse skin tissue.
Other Notes
Human, Mouse. Predicted to react with Monkey, Rat, Dog, Cat, and Horse based on 100% sequence homology.
