Gene Information
human ... ABCB5(340273)
General description
ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 5, also known as ABCB5 P-gp or P-glycoprotein ABCB5, and encoded by the gene name ABCB5, belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily of integral membrane proteins. These proteins participate in ATP-dependent transmembrane transport of structurally diverse molecules ranging from small ions, sugars, and peptides to more complex organic molecules. ABCB5 is responsible for the resistance to doxorubicin of a subset of malignant melanomas and is expressed in several malignant tissues.
~90 kDa observed. Uncharacterized bands may be observed in some lysate(s).
Immunogen
Purified recombinant fragment of human ABCB5 expressed in E. Coli
Application
Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:200-1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected ABCB5 in HepG2 cells.
Flow Cytometry Analysis: A 1:200-1:400 dilution from a representative lot detected ABCB5 in HepG2 cells.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:200-1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected ABCB5 in liver and breast cancer tissues.
ELISA: A representative lot was used on Control Antigen (100 ng) and Antigen (10 ng, 50 ng, 100 ng) in ELISA (Direct).
