Homeobox protein DLX-1 (DLX-1) is a developmental potein that is localized within the cell nucleus. DLX-1 likely has regulatory roles in the development of the ventral forebrain, craniofacial patterning and morphogenesis, and may be involved in the early development of diencephalic subdivisions.

Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected DLX-1 in whole cell extracts of wild type embryonic day 15 telencephalons and demonstrated a loss of signal in whole cell extracts of embryonic day 15 telencephalons from DLX1/2 knock out mice (Prof. J. Trimmer, University of California, Davis.).
