Gene Information
human ... ZNF746(155061)
General description
Zinc finger protein 746 (ZNF746) is also called Parkin-interacting substrate (PARIS). ZNF746 is a repressor of transcription that binds to promoters and represses the transcription of PGC-1-alpha (PPARGC1A), making it important to the regulation of neuron death. ZNF746 may also contribute to neurodegeneration in Parkinson disease.
~72 kDa observed. Uniprot describes 3 isoforms, two at 69 kDa and one at 49 kDa This protein is ubiquitinated and has been observed at higher molecular weights (Shin, J. H., et al. (2011). Cell. 144(5):689-702.).
Immunogen
Epitope: N-terminus
Recombinant protein corresponding to the N-terminus of human Paris/ZNF746.
Application
Anti-Paris/ZNF746 Antibody, clone N196/16 is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody & that targets Zinc Finger Protein & has been tested in western blotting.
