General description
Synaptotagmin-12 is also called Synaptotagmin XII (SytXII).Synaptotagmin-12 is a member of the synaptotagmin family of transmembrane transporters. Synaptotagmin-12 is thought to be involved in Ca2+-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles. Synaptotagmin-12 may also act as Ca2+ sensors as part of the vesicular trafficking and exocytosis process.
~47 kDa observed.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Synaptotagmin-12.
Application
Detect Synaptotagmin using this mouse monoclonal antibody, Anti-Synaptotagmin-12 Antibody, clone N277/7 validated for use in western blotting & IHC.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected Synpatotagmin-12 in mouse brain and rat cerebellum tissues.
Western Blotting Analysis: 1 µg/mL from a representative lot detected Synaptotagmin-12 in 10 µg of human brain tissue lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A representative lot detected Synaptotagmin-12 in COS cell lysates transfected with GFP-tagged Synaptotagmin-12, and not in COS cell lysates transiently transfected with other GFP-tagged Synaptotagmins or with untagged Kv2.1 plasmid (Prof. J. Trimmer, University of California, Davis.). Note that GFP tagged proteins run higher than the expected molecular weight of the target protein.
