General description
Purified mouse monoclonal antibody generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with the specified immunogen and fusing splenocytes with mouse myeloma NSO cells (see application references). Recognizes the ~185 kDa c-Erb B3/HER-3 protein.
Recognizes the c-ErbB3/HER 3 protein in T47D cells and breast and prostate carcinoma tissue.
This Anti-c-ErbB3 (Ab-5) Mouse mAb (H3.105.5) is validated for use in FC, Frozen Sections, Immunoblotting, IP, Neutralization Studies, Paraffin Sections for the detection of c-ErbB3 (Ab-5).

Does not cross-react with c ErbB1 (EGFR), c-ErbB2/HER-2/neu or c-ErbB4/HER-4. c-ErbB3/HER-3 is overexpressed in a variety of tumors (e.g., breast, stomach, pancreas and colon). This antibody is particularly well suited for immunoprecipitating the unoccupied receptor. Reported to block neuregulin-1 β growth and signalling effects in ovarian cancer cell lines. This antibody has also been reported to work for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual systems.

In order to develop a practical model of breast cancer, with in vitro and syngeneic, immune-intact, in vivo growth capacity, we established a primary cell line derived from a mammary carcinoma in the transgenic FVB/N-Tg(MMTV-ErbB2*)NDL2-5Mul mouse, referred to as "NDLUCD". The
