General description

Vascular injury triggers a cascade of inflammatory and immune responses, reflected in the expression of key plasma proteins such as α-1-Acid Glycoprotein (AGP), α-2-Macroglobulin (A2M), and Haptoglobin. AGP is an acute phase reactant that modulates immune activity and vascular permeability. A2M functions as a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor, playing a role in tissue protection and repair. Haptoglobin binds free hemoglobin released during vascular damage, preventing oxidative stress and supporting clearance. Together, these analytes provide insight into vascular integrity, inflammation, and tissue recovery in rat models.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 3 analytes in rat serum or plasma samples.

Analytes included: α-1-Acid Glycoprotein (AGP), α-2-Macroglobulin (A2M), Haptoglobin

Assay Characteristics: Refer to assay protocol for details on cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.
