Biochem/physiol Actions
多様なT、B細胞応答（細胞増殖、生存と遺伝子発現を含む）を調節します。 IL-4 は天然型 CD4+ T細胞がヘルパー Th2（Tヘルパー）へ分化するプロセスを調節します。この分化プロセスは IL-4、IL-5、IL-6、IL-10、およびIL-13の分泌を含むサイトカイン分泌プロファイルによって特徴付けられ、ホルモン免疫応答が円滑に働くように機能します。 IL-4 のもう一つの重要な機能は、免疫グロブリンクラスを IgG1（免疫グロブリンG1）とIgEアイソ型へスイッチングすることです。 Th2 細胞によるIL-4の過剰生産は IgEの生産レベル上昇とアレルギーに関連付けられます。 IL-4 は、ミクログリア/マクロファージの活動をコントロールすることによって脳虚血発症後の長期的な回復に寄与します。 マウスの場合、IL-4の欠落は状態不安様挙動に関連しています。
General description
IL-4（インターロイキン4）は、多面作用性のサイトカインです。肥満細胞、T細胞および骨髄間質細胞により産生されます。組み換えマウスIL-4は、120のアミノ酸残基を含む13.7 kDaの球状タンパク質です。

Preparation Note
開封前にバイアルを遠心します。水を用いて0.1～1.0 mg/mLの濃度に溶解します。ボルテックスしないでください。この溶液は2～8℃で最大1週間保存できます。長期保存の場合は、安定剤（5％トレハロースなど）を含むバッファーでさらに希釈し、-20～-80℃で作業用アリコートに保存することをお勧めします。
