General description

Sigma′s Hybridization Solution is a 2x ready-to-use hybridization buffer for Northern and Southern blot protocols.

Application

Suitable for use as a hybridization buffer in Northern and Southern blot protocols.
Hybridization Solution has been used to hybridise the nitrocellulose membrane. It has also been used in DNA hybridization.

Preparation Note

Sigma′s Hybridization Solution contains 200 μg/mL DNA in 10x SSC and 2X Denhardt′s solutions:
200 μg/mL DNA
2mg Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
2mg Ficoll
2mg Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)
0.15 M sodium citrate
1.5 M NaCl
