      Background InformationMillicell® hanging cell culture inserts with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) membrane are ideal for the growth and differentiation of various cell types. This individually sterile-packaged insert has an optically clear 0.4 μm membrane pore size and fits in most 12-well cell culture plates.

      The insert’s flanged design suspends it within the cell culture plate well and makes it possible to access both sides of the cell monolayer. Spaces between three protruding arms facilitate pipetting between the outside of the insert and the culture plate well.
