General description

The IPAK Gard® 3/5 pretreatment cartridge for hard water protects the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane by efficiently removing water contaminants such as free chlorine, colloids, particles and minerals from hard water.
Purification technologies include activated carbon for the removal of free chlorine, polyphosphate beads to protect against scaling and precipitates, and a pleated filter for the removal of particulates and colloids. This pretreatment cartridge improves your system′s performance and extends its lifetime.

Application

  • For use with Milli-Q® IQ/IX 7003/05 and EQ 7008/16 systems.
  • Optimally protects RO membranes from free chlorine, colloids, particles and minerals found in hard feed water.
  • Improves system performance and lifetime.

Features and Benefits

  • Pleated filter removes particulates and colloids, and activated carbon block removes free chlorine from hard feed water to ensure RO membrane performance over years.
  • Polyphosphate beads protect against scaling and precipitates.
  • e-Sure tag enables RFID connection with the system, for seamless consumable status monitoring, data management and full traceability.
  • Supplied with a Drain Cap, to remove excess water and reduce the weight of the exhausted cartridge at disposal.
