General description

Sodium hydroxide (caustic soda, NaOH) is a water-soluble inorganic base with a wide range of industrial applications such as titration methods, dissolution testing, and pH adjusting. It is also used as a precipitant to precipitate transition metal hydroxides.

Application


  • Alkaliptosis induction counteracts paclitaxel-resistant ovarian cancer cells: Utilizing sodium hydroxide in ATP6V0D1-mediated ABCB1 inhibition reveals a novel approach to overcoming drug resistance in ovarian cancer, promoting cell death through alkaliptosis.
