Application CommentsSpecific for human E-cadherin; does not recognize rat E-cadherin. Ca2+ should be contained in all buffers to stabilize the cadherin antigen. In case of immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded tissue and acetone fixed frozen sections, Ca2+ is not necessary. The antibody may be used to inhibit E-cadherin-dependent cell-cell contact. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the optimal working dilution.
