The dye demonstrates a ~167-fold increase in fluorescence in the presence of Aß-fibrils. SCT067 achieves this while maintaining large two-photon cross-section, a large signal to background ratio, high BBB permeability, and emission reaching into the near-infrared (NIR, 650 nm). This dye has been used for ex-vivo and in vivo TPM imaging of Aß-fibrils in mouse brains.
