[Studies on the triterpenoids of Vitex trifolia].

To study the chemical constituents of Vitex trifolia. Chromatography and spectroscopic analysis were employed to isolate and elucidate the chemical constituents in the plant. Five triterpenoids were obtained and identified as ursolic acid (I),2alpha,3alpha-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (II), betulinic acid (11), taraxerol (IV), 2alpha,3beta, 19-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (V). Compounds 1-5 are isolated from this plant for the first time.
