Application

DMSO can be used as an effective solvent for dissolving a wide range of polar and non-polar compounds for sample preparation in HS-GC. Its high polarity allows for the extraction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from complex matrices, such as biological samples or environmental matrices. DMSO also enhances the volatility of certain compounds, facilitating their detection in HS-GC. By modifying the physical properties of the analytes, DMSO helps in achieving better separation and sensitivity during the chromatographic analysis.

Disclaimer

Supercools easily and remelts slowly at room temperature. Solidified product can be re-liquified by warming to room temperature without detriment to the product.
