General description

Assurance® GDS (Genetic Detection System) is an automated nucleic acid amplification system for the detection of pathogenic organisms in foods, ingredients, and environmental samples. The proprietary GDS PickPen®, 8-Magnets is designed to transfer magnetic particles when working with Assurance® GDS pathogen detection kits. The incorporation of the PickPen® in the immunomagnetic separation (IMS) process improves the procedure by concentrating the target pathogenwhile decreasing carryover of background microflora without compromising the sensitivity.

Application

Immunomagnetic Separation (IMS)
The GDS PickPen®, 8-Magnets is designed to transfer magnetic particles when working with Assurance® GDS pathogen detection kits used for the detection of pathogenic organisms in foods, ingredients, and environmental samples.

Features and Benefits

  • Compatible with all Assurance® GDS disposable wells/plates, 8 samples can be taken through IMS at one time
  • Consistent recovery of immuno-magnetic particles during IMS
  • Lower carryover of background microflora
