General description
16:0-18:0 (9-10BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(9,10-dibromo) stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a brominated phosphatidylcholine lipid. This lipid is stable for one year.
Application
16:0-18:0 (9-10BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(9,10-dibromo) stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) has been used in large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs) and small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs) for fluorescence quenching. It has also been used to prepare large unilamellar vesicles (LUV) for liposome co-sedimentation assay. It may be used as a component in large unilamellar liposomes for parallax analysis and in lipid vesicle preparation for tryptophan (Trp) penetration depth experiments/bromine quenching experiments.
Biochem/physiol Actions
16:0-18:0 (9-10BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(9,10-dibromo) stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) can act as a deep quencher.
