General description

Buffered NaCl Peptone Solution with 0.1% Tween® 80 is a low peptone content buffer supplemented with phosphate buffer and sodium chloride. The unique formula maintains viability of test microorganisms present in test samples.
Polysorbate 80 (Tween® 80), is effective against quaternary ammonium compounds, amphoteric surfactants, benzamidines, chlorhexidines, dequadin, benzyl alcohol, carbanilides, dichlorbenzyl alcohols, benzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and its esters, phenols, phenylethyl alcohols and PHB esters.

Application

Buffered NaCl Peptone Solution with 0.1% Tween® 80 is used for the microbial examination of non-sterile samples. It is suitable for dilution, sample preparation and sample washing.
