A simple method is developed to construct anticoagulant surfaces via passive adsorption of heparin onto the protonated plasma-polymerized allylamine (PPAam) films from phosphate-buffered saline (PBS). These protonated PPAam surfaces are found to have high affinity to heparin. Importantly, the heparin-functionalized
