2-Mesitylmagnesium bromide is a Grignard reagent generally used to synthesize stable aromatic radical species such as dibenzoheptazethrene, diindenoanthracene, teranthene and dimesitylindeno[2,1-a]fluorene by kinetically blocking reactive molecular sites.
