<li><strong>Hemocompatible nanomaterials for biosensing: </strong>4-Methylpyridine is used as the functionalizing agent in the synthesis of the 3-n-propyl(2-amino-4-methyl)pyridium chloride ( SiAMPy+Cl-) material through a sol-gel procedure for the production of stable nanoconjugates with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs-SiAMPy+) (Lima et al., 2022).</li>
