Application

Perfluorotetradecanoic acid can be used as a reactant:
  • In the metal-free synthesis of organic iodides using N-iodoamides through the Iododecarboxylation method.
  • To synthesize benzimidazole tethered perfluoromacromolecules by reacting with o-phenylene diamine via condensation reaction.
It can also be used as a surfactant in the formation of mixed monolayer films at the air-water interface.
