Application
2-Dimethylaminoethanol (Deanol) can be used to functionalize the sensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells to prevent aggregation and to increase the dye adsorption density. It is used in the synthesis of NNO-tridentate Schiff base ligands to prepare zinc alkoxide complexes that catalyze ring-opening polymerization of L-lactide. It is also used in the preparation of ionic liquids.
