General description
Amberlite™ is an ion exchange resin, which is macroporous weak acid cation exchange resin. The matrix is a polyacrylic with a particle diameter of 500 − 750 μm.
Application
The Amberlite weakly acidic cation exchanger is in the hydrogen form and is used in protein chromatography, ion exchange chromatography and cation exchange media.
Amberlite™ Weakly Acidic Cation Exchanger, Hydrogen form has been used in purification of thiamine from crude food extracts and bovine lactoperoxidase enzyme.

A method for the trace amount determination of Tl(I), via its preconcentration, is proposed. The method is based on the reaction of iodide, Tl(I) and Rhodamine B in a weakly acidic medium. In this process an ion-associated complex is formed
